While the organization has existed in various forms for fifteen years, the revitalized association, sporting a new name, has been operating since 2004. CABA is the Calabogie and Area Business Association. The new name reflects the growing interest of Greater Madawaska businesses to join forces.
CABA is a proactive association with a mandate of promoting the endeavours of the local business community. In the process of CABA realizing its goals, the community benefits enormously. These goals include:
The Association supports community events, such as the Lions Club Christmas Parade and the Firefighters Canada Day Celebrations among others. What’s good for the community is good for CABA. All businesses in our locale share common challenges. By working as a united force toward common goals, CABA strengthens the efforts of individual businesses. An annual membership fee of $30 for local businesses is very good value. CABA meetings are a wonderful forum to find out “what is going on” in the municipality. The quarterly meetings of the membership provide the opportunity to meet other business owners for the exchange of ideas. If you are a business operating in the Calabogie and area locale and would like to join us, contact Carolyn Jakes at 752-2500.
